About the Journal

Aims and scope 

Oncology and Therapy is an international, open access, peer-reviewed, rapid-publication journal (peer review in 2 weeks, published 3–4 weeks from acceptance).

The journal aims to be a key educational tool to help healthcare and industry professionals alike to assess and further understand the place of innovative therapies within the field of oncology by providing comprehensive insights into the most up-to-date research.

The journal is of interest to a broad, global audience of pharmaceutical and healthcare professionals from all disciplines of oncology, and publishes original research, reviews, case reports, and short communications for all aspects of oncology and research around solid tumours, haematological malignancies and cancer-related conditions, including, but not limited to:
     •      clinical studies (all phases)
     •      pre-clinical and translational research
     •      molecular diagnosis
     •      pathology
     •      epidemiology
     •      targeted therapy
     •      personalized medicine
     •      immunotherapy
     •      biomarkers
     •      genetics and genomics
     •      pharmacoeconomics

     •      patient-reported outcomes
     •      patient care and management
     •      education

Moving forward from traditional publishing, Oncology and Therapy offers a range of additional enhanced features designed to increase visibility, readership, and the educational value of the content. Each paper is accompanied by a bulleted Summary slide, giving a time-efficient overview of the content to a wide readership. Articles also have the option to include slide sets, videos, animations, and/or interactive learning resources. All enhanced features are open access and are peer reviewed to the same high standard as the article itself.

Oncology and Therapy publishes supplements and special issues (in English or a local language). Material appropriate for supplements/special issues include: sponsored meeting proceedings, roundtable discussions, workshop reports, case series, and collections of articles on the same topic. All articles are subject to peer review, and must adhere to the ICMJE and GPP policies on acknowledgments/disclosures. Proposals for supplements are welcomed, and should be addressed to

The journal follows a double-blind peer review procedure and a minimum of 2 reviewers are required for every manuscript.

Oncology and Therapy's rapid publication, personalized service, and open access is funded by article processing charges. Current fees are: £250/ €340/ $380 per printed page. (Page charges for Oncology and Therapy are currently being waived. Please contact for further information.) Please note, all manuscripts are thoroughly peer reviewed and accepted/rejected based purely on the merit of the content.

Published: Online. Articles are published online as soon as the author approves their proofs as "online first." Once your article is online, it has full pagination and a DOI number, making it instantly citable. Paginated issues are collated twice a year (June and December).
